Full of fun and energy The Yow Yows totally made my 40th birthday party!! They were helpful on the run up to the party, and on the night were fantastic. Totally went down a storm. They have such a good range of music and since there was a fair range of ages at my party, there was definitely something for everyone. So many people have come up to me since the party and asked why we can’t do the same every weekend, and commenting on how fantastic the band were. We are seriously considering arranging with the Yow Yows whether they could do a garden party at ours every summer!!

Carnival fever
The Yow Yows are out on the road and busy performing a long hot summer of gigs.
Following appearances at private parties and weddings, the Yows are in full swing for the summer period. The recent Dubs At The Hall gig went down well with the VW Beetle & Camper community; Rock Bodham was a storm, and Sheringham Carnival and the Cromer RNLI Day are up next.

Busy busy 2014!
Over at Yows HQ, we’re busy getting ready for a stacked year of gigs – from regional festivals and carnivals to stunning private weddings and charity fundraisers, we love performing and making people dance – our reportoire of songs has grown massively in the last 6 months, bringing in a range of retro songs and pinning down our own versions of latest chart hits.

This special offer will run until 31st October 2013; a random name who has liked and shared the Yows page will then be chosen and announced as the winner. Their chosen charity will be contacted to arrange a mutually convenient date and location (within 60 miles of Sheringham), as well as set times and other performance terms (maximum 2 hours performance, evening times from 7pm -10pm). All band expenses to be covered by the charity event management (food, fuel, etc).
Nearly two!
It’s The Yow Yows birthday! Not long ago, a ramshackle group of friends jammed a few songs at a camping event in Roughton – sweaty palms, croaky voices, dodgy beats. They were christened Gas Stove Airship (ask Jamie Brown & Chris Taylor!).
Since then, we’ve worked hard to build our band, playing great songs for our gorgeous fans (that’s you) – it’s been a journey, lots of blood & tears, but we love it!
In time-honoured tradition, we’d like to thank a few people for helping us get here – Geoff & Vanessa (for giving us a home & putting up with duff rehearsals), Chris Taylor (for all those intimate photos), Caz Sayles (aka Booby Bez, our second set of ears), Becci James (always there to help with the loading), all our old friends & families for coming to our gigs & dancing along, and of course all you guys for supporting the Yows!

A long hot summer(?)
The Yow Yows are busy at Yows HQ in preparation for a long hot(?) summer of gigs around North Norfolk.
In between gigs and rehearsals (with lots of new material for July), they’re also hard in the studio finishing off the debut CD.

Fun in the sun at the Classic Car Show
Once again, the Yow Yows wow-ed the crowd with a 2 hour set of music in the blistering heat of Sheringham.
The gig was part of the Sheringham Classic Car & Bike Show, hosted by the Lobster.

The Yow Yows play Sheringham Jubilee
The Yow Yows, North Norfolk’s mystery band, are making an appearance at the Jubilee Picnic as part of the evening entertainment.
The 4-piece band (who take their name from the fateful Sheringham fishing legend) are busy preparing fresh material and their signature costumes (supplied by the Sheringham Community Wardrobe).
“We’re really excited to be involved in Sheringham’s celebrations – it’s going to be a fantastic day for the whole community. We’ve been running through lots of new songs (covers and originals), as well as preparing some great costumes and extra bits to do on stage. We promise you’ll love it!”
